Why we need to do away with big banks and let them go out of business.

In the good old days (prior to 2000), when people wrote a check to someone, getting it cashed was easy…and free. Fast forward to today, when I went to Regions Bank and was charged $2 to cash a check drawn on their bank. I have always hated banks, especially the ones who nickle and dime their own customers (think Bank of America). I have also understood the logic in not allowing non-customers to use convenience features, such as the drive through or charging non-customers to use their ATMs. However, today I was charged $2 to cash a $35 check that was drawn from an account that bank holds.
