I can dance better than you can!
After a long, tedious, and nerve-racking trip up to Ohio, the fun was just beginning as my mother was also coming, albeit in a separate vehicle. Now, while most people would think that having good ol’ mom up to a family wedding would be a good thing. Except, in this case, mom HATES dad. I suppose I should preface this post with a simple history of the family dynamics. I was adopted at birth and in 1987, my adopted parents divorced. It was a particularly nasty affair, and the whole thing lasted quite a few years. In any event, my adopted mom (Mom) hates my adopted dad (Dad) to this day (almost 25 years later) and goes out of her way any time there is any interaction between them to show her feelings.
Doesn’t he have headlights?
Before I begin this post, let me preface with a few bits of knowledge for those who have never made the trip (which I’m sure is 99.99% of you).
- A normal trip from Little Rock to Dayton takes about 11 hours. From Dayton to Ashtabula normally takes about 4.5 hours, giving a total of 15.5 hours, on average, from my starting point to the ending point.
- The propensity for human error, even using modern technology is
100%still at least 95%.
